BIG NEWS -- we just booked a headlining gig at the Gothic Theatre in Denver for March 15! Advanced tickets are already available online, and we are really pushing hard to get all our friends and fans to come out to the show. This is going to be our first headlining gig at the Gothic and our first 16+ gig in Denver in a very long time. Also, this may be our last show until the summer, so come out and show your support for 12 Cents and the local scene! We also just booked a Fort Collins gig the night before, it's a 21+ show at Road 34, for our second annual prom party -- it is also going to be a blast.
Also, our new 12 Cent 12 Track 12 Packs limited edition CD is now available inside Ska Brewing Mixed Up 12 Packs in Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico. Pick up a 12 Pack and get a limited edition 12 Cents disk!

Although that may be a little excessive, 12 Cents is hoping for an awesome year and wishing the best to you. ENGLISH BEAT ALERT --- We just added a couple of last minute shows in Aspen and Denver, opening up for the English Beat, next weekend!! It's going to be amazing to play with the Beat again -- they put on an incredible show.
Also, thank so much to everyone who came out to the Hodi's show! We had a blast and were totally impressed with all who showed up in awesome Halloween costumes!

We're going to be doing a Fort Collins show at Hodi's and hopefully a Denver show on the day following. These are scheduled for the weekend before Halloween, so make sure to mark your calendars!

2006 is continuing to be an amazing year for 12 Cents. With our brand new album out, we are looking forward to celebrating 10 years as a band. Featuring special guest former members and collaborators, we are going to be rockin the Aggie Theatre on Saturday, December 2. This is going to be an amazing show!
If you can't wait that long, we will be throwing our 3rd annual Halloween theme party on Saturday, October 28. Road 34 (the newest, hottest venue in the Fort) will be the place and all hell will be breaking loose. Check, check it out!!!

With Turkey Day fast approaching and the manufacturing lines spitting out a brand new disk, it's a great time to be heading into the holidays. "Change," is going to be released at shows in Fort Collins, Denver, Boulder, and Leadville, so come on out to be one of the first to own a copy. The new album features 20 tracks produced by 12 Cents' own Nik Levinsky. Both the FC and Denver release parties are all-ages events that cost $10 at the door, but include a free copy of the disk. Also, for the 21+ crowd, the FC show will have a $1/$.12 drink special if you purchase one of our new pint glasses. Regardless, good times are to be had for all, so come on out and we'll see you on the dance floor.

We can finally say that the album is done! It was sent off to manufacturing today-- now we await printing, shipping, and December's CD release parties!
Speaking of parties-- thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate Halloween with us at Conor O'Neills in both Boulder and Fort Collins. We steezed out a twisted cast of Wizard of Oz characters and rocked to some Dark Side. Thank you all for the great energy you brought to both nights. We can't wait to start planning our theme for next year!

October is going to be an exciting month for us. We start by finishing up the recording of the new album and we are going to wrap things up with shows in Denver, Boulder and Fort Collins. We play a big, all-ska, all-ages show in Denver and follow it up with two huge Halloween weekend shows. Our theme this year is going to be Wizard of Oz / Dark Side of the Moon. If you made it to last year's huge James Bond Halloween show at Conor O'Neills - Fort Collins- you know it's going to be a major party again this year.
And don't forget- 12 Cents is coming out with a brand new full length album in December!!! Don't forget to mark your calendar for 12/2 and 12/9 for our respective CD release parties in Fort Collins and Denver. These are both all-ages shows, so we expect to see all of you there-- rockin' it on the dance floor. Peace out.

We had a busy weekend playing shows in both Denver and Boulder. We saw lots of friends and had some good times for sure. Just wanted to make sure that everyone noticed we have booked our CD release parties! This is an early reminder to SAVE the DATE! December 2nd we'll kick things off at the Starlight and December 9th we'll head down to Denver to the Climax Lounge. These are both ALL AGES shows, so we expect to see you all there!

Summer is in full effect and 12 Cents is turning it up with a couple of all ages shows. The last two Fridays of July will feature the full band at the Starlight in Fort Collins and the Gothic Theatre in Denver. Also, for the mountain crowd, we are making our first trip up to Leadville to rock Groggy Bottoms. July is going to be fun, so come on out to all of these incredible gigs.
Also, we are continuing hard work on the new album. Look for a disk out and a cd release party by the end of the year!!!

Thanks to everyone who came out to the last few shows! We saw Action Shot play their last song, and rocked three amazing shows with Audrey sitting in on the drum kit.
Over the next few weeks, we will be making a big return to Laramie, returning for graduation weekend in Fort Collins, and looking forward to the People's Fair in Denver and Fibark Festival in Salida.
We're balancing the show schedule with continued work on the new album. We are now shooting for an early winter 2005 release. Keep checking in.. and we'll keep crankin' out the good tunes. See you on the dance floor!

Our late winter show schedule is up and posted. We are kicking things off with an all ska show in Boulder and the first performance of 12 Cents Dub Project on February 13. Taking place at Dulcineas on Colfax in Denver, TCDP is going to be a night of chilled out dub reggae featuring the members of 12 Cents for Marvin along with many special guests. We are excitedly looking forward to this show and are hoping to turn it into a regular event. Also, we are going to be playing a couple of benefit shows, including a singles auction to raise money for the United Way in Fort Collins. This black tie affair will feature the band performing an extended set following the end of the auction. Check out the shows page for more info. In recording news, slow and steady is our mantra. We continue to work on recording the new album, laying down many of our live favorites while working on new material for the record. No ETA on getting a new disk out, but we will keep you posted. All moved and set up in our new studio (aka casa de Spriggs), we have begun work on our new self-recorded album! Shows have been slim lately, but look to see a full schedule ramping back up towards the end of January. We'll kick this off with a return to Conor O'Neills in the Fort on January 22. In the meantime, check out upcoming shows from P-Nuckle (featuring 12 Cents Tom on horn). They will be playing with Long Beach Short Bus and Pepper along the front range in the new few weeks.

First news update in almost a year. Been busy giging, but things are finally starting to slow down just in time for Twelve Cents to start recording the new album. We have gone independent on this one and will be doing all of the tracking on our own.
